February was Awesome!
What a great February for CCMoms! Here's a recap for those who weren't able to join us.
Meeting:
Our Friday meeting had a great turn out of moms and kids. We were able to discuss love as addressed in the Bible and how we implement it in our everyday lives. Here are a few of the Bible verses that really stood out to the Moms.
-Love is a stabilizing factor in our lives (Ephesians 3:17)
-Love is the lubricant which greatly reduces the friction which can build up between us and others (Ephesians 4:2; 1 Peter 4:8)
We tossed around ideas for showing love in our everyday interactions with our partner, child(ren), self, community and God. There were some great ideas such as love notes in school lunches, heating towels for spouse on a cold morning and making time for ourselves. There are so many ways we can show love to each other in the little things we do. We all realized how important it is to recognize and appreciate these things in order to feel loved and fulfilled and to give our love freely and openly to our families and community.
Since it was such a beautiful day, we took the kids outside for awhile to burn off some of their energy before jumping into a cute Valentine's craft. Here are our cuties playing together!*
Events:
We had our first park play date at Arlington Sports Park where a few moms (and 1 dad) were able to connect and let their little ones play.
We wrapped up the month with our first Mom's Night Out and it was a total hit! We had a lot of fun chowing down on some yummy Italian food and then caught a chick flick together in Mission Grove. It was a fun, relaxing night away from the kids. It's always fun to meet new moms and get a night out to ourselves. We hope more moms are able to join us for some girl time next month! This will for sure become a regular event.
A big thank you to all the moms who were able to join us for the meeting, play date or Mom's Night Out. We love meeting new mom's and have already grown so much together with you all. For any mom's who haven't been able to make it yet, don't give up! You're welcome to join us for anything and everything you can fit in your busy schedules. We love new faces!

Love Prayer
O God, we thank you that you have given us another year of life together. We thank you for the love which grows more precious and for the bonds which grow more close each day. We thank you for the happiness we have known together; for the sorrows we have faced together; for all the experiences of sunshine and of shadow through which we have come, up to today.
We ask for forgiveness for any failure on our part; for any times when we became difficult to live with for any lack of sympathy and understanding; for anything which spoiled even for a moment the perfect relationship which marriage should be. Spare us to each other to go on walking the way of life together, and grant that for us it may be true that the best is yet to be: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tonight's Meeting Cancelled
Unfortunately, we are cancelling tonight's evening meeting. We are both under the weather, and the rain isn't promising for attendance. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming Mom's Night Out! Please check your emails for an evite.
We would also like to take this time to survey the attendance for our Thursday Night meetings. We have had a total of 4 meetings, with the attendance of only 1 mom at 1 meeting. We would like to ask your feedback, if there is a better night during the week, or if we should add another Friday morning meeting. Please select which day(s) best fit your schedule for meeting in the poll on the right. This will help us accomodate as many moms as possible. Thank you for your feedback!
As always, stay connected via email, facebook and evites!
In Motherhood,
Michele & Sarah

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Performance Riverside's Discovery Theatre
From the moment he wakes up with gum in his hair, things just do not go Alexander's way. At breakfast, Alexander's brothers Nick and Anthony reach into their cereal boxes and pull out amazing prizes, while all Alexander ends up with is . . . cereal. The situation does not get any better at school, in fact it gets worse. No wonder Alexander wants to move to Australia! In Australia, everything is upside down, so maybe a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day can become a wonderful, terrific, really good day. After school, Alexander encounters even more bad news when he visits the dentist and goes shopping for sneakers with his mother and brothers. And Alexander's father isn't at all happy with him when the boys visit his office and Alexander gets a little carried away with the new copying machine! This terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day is enough to make anyone want to go to Australia! ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY, the musical adaptation of Judith Viorst's popular children’s book, will be presented as part of Performance Riverside's DISCOVERY THEATRE series of plays for school groups, February 16 and 17 at Landis Performing Arts Center. Amazon Mom
For any mom’s out there who haven’t heard about this fabulous Amazon.com program yet, here it is!
You need to just enroll in the program, and in exchange there are some fantastic perks.
:: Get free Amazon Prime (= free shipping!)
:: You can continue to receive 30% off select diapers and wipes with subscribe and save. Subscribe and Save is Amazon’s automatic delivery system. How it works is you choose an item marked as Subscribe and Save, choose how often you want the item to arrive (1 every month, 2 months, and so on), and your subscription will be started. You can cancel a subscription at any point without further obligation (I start and stop subscriptions after every order, in order to get the extra 30% each time).
::It is totally free to register.
::You get 3 months for free of the Prime service. You need to buy things from the baby store on Amazon in order to extend your Prime membership. Then Amazon will email you at the end of the 3 months letting you know if you purchased enough items to extend your subscription. For every $25 in baby items you purchase, your free Prime shipping will be extended another month.
You can get all the information and sign up here.
Post any questions in the comments below and I’ll respond as I’ve used this service for almost 6 months and have been quite pleased!
