Meeting this Friday!

We're looking forward to getting back into our meeting schedule after the holiday break. Join us this Friday, February 4th from 10am-12pm in the KDC for our meeting. Our topic this month is love and we have some good discussion, activities and crafts planned for all moms and children.

LunarFest Riverside

Riverside’s first annual Asian Pacific Lunar New Year Festival
will be held downtown on Mission Inn Avenue and Lemon Street
this Saturday, January 29, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.  This event will
have something for everyone. There will be a parade, fashion
show, children’s village, food and wonderful live entertainment.

Join Our Planning Meeting

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! We have enjoyed our time off, and are eager to begin this new year, with all of the blessings and challenges it may bring. We would like to extend an invitation for all moms who are interested in participating in our monthly planning meetings. This month we will be meeting on Thursday, January 27th at 6:30pm at Sips Coffee Shop in Riverside (Albertsons shopping center on Van Buren & Lincoln). We are excited for what 2011 has in store for CCM, and would LOVE involvement from our CCMoms, so that we may grow in a positive light.

So, for all you moms out there with a New Year's Resolution to be more involved, for a good cause....here is your opportunity!! We will discuss our upcoming meetings, topics, games and activities, and most of all, have fun and enjoy the company of our fellow CCMoms!

Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Drive

Now through January 17th, Burlington Coat Factory is collecting winter gear to help those in need this winter season.

What: Coats with working closures, no rips or stains. Also hats, mittens and scarves
Where: Take you donation(s) to Burlington Coat Factory on Tyler and Magnolia

This is an easy way to give back to the community and get rid of a some outgrown or gently used winter items.

From our families to yours, we wish you a very Happy New Year! We know there are many great things for the group this upcoming year and we hope you are all there to celebrate, pray and share with us as we continue to grow.

Prayer for the New Year

God, thank you for a new year. May everyone in our family be willing to begin anew with a clean slate. We know that you are always ready to forgive us. Help us to be willing to forgive ourselves and to forgive one another.

As we begin a new year, remind us of our truest values and our deepest desires. Help us to live in the goodness that comes from doing what you want us to do. Help us to put aside anxiety about the future and the past, so that we might live in peace with you now, one day at a time.

See you in February when we resume our regular meeting schedule. In the meantime, make time to get involved in the parish Mission to help you grow in your faith.
