Mom's Night Out- May 3rd

When: Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011 6:30pm
Where: Chili's & Mission Grove Theater (Trautwein & Alessandro)
What: Dinner/Appetizers & a Movie

Don't miss this much needed Mom time! We'll meet for dinner or appetizers at Chili's and then head over to the movie theater to take advantage of their $5.75 Ladies Night special. Don't worry if you can't make it for both. Join us for one, the other or both! Invite a mom friend or make a new one as we get to know our CCMom's away from their kids.

St. Thomas Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday

Join us and other St. Thomas parishioners for the Youth Group's annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 23rd from 11am-1pm.

We wish everyone a very happy Easter! Remember to include prayer, reflection and a moment to explain to your child(ren) the meaning of Easter.

April- Fitness & Nutrition

This month we are focusing on fitness and nutrition. As mom's we not only have the responsibility of ensuring our families are healthy and active, but make time and energy to ensure our own wellness.

 

We participated in the Walk for Kids benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities this past weekend. Family events like this not only help raise money for many amazing charities, but they give us an opportunity to get out as a family and get some exercise together. Thank you to all the families who came out to walk with us. It was a great morning!

 

At our next meeting, April 19th, we are hosting Sara Halias from Stroller Strides to not only discuss this great organization where moms and children can exercise together, but give us some tips on fitness and nutrition for moms and the whole family. We're looking forward to her visit!

We're looking forward to continuing this journey of motherhood with all of you at our next Tuesday meeting (April 19th 10am). We will be hosting a "healthy" egg hunt for the kids. If you would like to contribute to the hunt please bring a few plastic eggs filled with a non-candy item (stickers, pretzels etc.) We'll see you all Tuesday!

Walk for Kids Info

We're looking forward to this Sunday's Walk for Kids to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Our CCM team will meet in front of PF Chang's at Victoria Gardens Mall at 7:45am, April 10th. Bring your water and walking shoes for this 3 mile walk. The walk begins at 8am.

 

Attached are directions to Victoria Gardens as well as a map of the walking route. Before and after the walk the Kids Zone will also be open where they have face painting, games and a chance to meet Ronald McDonald. It will be a great morning of fun, family and exercise.

You can register here to join the CCM team. It is completely free to join and walk on Sunday. Donations directly to Ronald McDonald House are welcome at the event or online.
